Abstract

In this paper, we present a contribution to the electrical modelling of corona discharges in point to plane positive dry air at atmospheric pressure. An equivalent circuit model of the discharge is proposed and the evolution of equivalent electrical parameters is obtained using a mathematical method of identification based on the Recursive Least Square (RLS) algorithm. A comparison between the forms of measured discharge current and calculated model currents shows a good agreement and validates the model as well as the method.
