Abstract

The article offers information regarding libraries and librarians in the U.S. Barbara Schader has been promoted to assistant university librarian for collections and scholarly communication at the University of California. The National Science Foundation and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation are supporting a blue-ribbon task force to address the issue of economic sustainability for digital preservation and persistent access. Robert McDonald of San Diego Supercomputer Center will be speaking at the 2007 Charleston Conference.
