Abstract

A technique for microwave decomposition of the powder for plasma-jet hard-facing and determination of boron, iron (III), and chromium (III) by ICP-AES is presented. The solvent composition and parameters of the microwave decomposition of the samples in an autoclave are optimized. The detection limits for B, Cr (III) and Fe (III) are 3.0 × 10 -3, 7.6 × 10 -5, and 2.0 × 10 -2 wt %, respectively. © 2011 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
