Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out student misbehaviors in the classroom, study the strategies of the teachers to cope with them and suggest some ideas. The sample population comprises 869 teachers: 518 female and 351 male participants joined the study and the questionnaire was used to collect the data. The result of the data analysis indicates what sort of misbehaviors occurs in the class and what teachers do to thwart them. Besides, teachers encounter different misbehaving patterns related to their gender and teaching experience. © 2010 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
