New data on systematics of leafhoppers of the genus Macropsidus (Homoptera, Cicadellidae, Macropsinae)

Abstract

The following synonymy in the genus Macropsidus is established: M. duuschulus Dlab. 1965 = M. albinervis Vilb. 1965 syn. n. = M. rigidus Mit. 1971 syn. n., M. vallaris Dlab. 1963 = M. montanus Lukjanova 1992 syn. n. Illustrated descriptions and data on the distribution of the species investigated are given. Differences between M. duuschulus and closely related M. arenicola Em. 1971 are considered. M. kopetdagicus Tishetshkin sp. n. from the western Kopet-Dagh Ridge (Turkmenistan) is described. M. demavendinus Dlab. 1974 is identified based on the reinvestigation of paratype.
