Abstract
The effect of duodenoesophageal reflux induced by total gastrectomy with and without low dose of N-amyl-N-methylnitrosamine (AMN) was studied in the rat esophagus. The results of this study suggest that reflux of duodenal contents may play an important role in the development of columnar epithelium. Tendency to dysplasia was observed in association low dose of AMN.
