Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Information Systems
The Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media wishes to appoint a fixed term Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Information Systems.

Faculty / Directorate
The School of Computer Science and Informatics is based within the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media. It offers a wide range of courses to other undergraduates and postgraduates in line with emergent demand and the nature of these fast-moving, competitive disciplines. Due in the first place to the international nature and high influence of the school’s academic research, Computer Science at DMU is ranked 201/500 in the Shanghai Ranking of Universities and in position 201-250 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Alongside the university as a whole, we have huge ambitions for the future in terms of our offering to students and the quality and scale of our research.

Salary Range (Grade F £34,189 – £37,345 / Grade G £38,460 - £48,677)
Applicants will be expected to teach within a wide portfolio of topics relating to Data Analytics, Data Sciences, Big Data, Data Warehousing, Ethics or related disciplines. You will have expertise and experience in teaching in the higher education in Information Systems and Computer Science. Candidates coming from the industry sector will also be welcome. You will have a postgraduate degree and ideally a PhD in Computer Science, Computing, Computational Sciences, or Engineering. Ideally you will be able to contribute to the research currently carried out at the Centre for Computing and Social Responsibility, in particular to our work on the Human Brain Project (https://www.humanbrainproject.eu/en/social-ethical-reflective/ethicssupport/).We would be particularly interested in candidates with a demonstrable interest in questions of data governance, such as data protection or international data governance.
