**Job Description:**

Siemens Healthineers is looking effective immediately to fill the role of Head of Product for its unit "Molecular Services Americas" in Berkeley, California.

Molecular Services Americas provides clinical and companion diagnostic molecular testing services out of its CLIA certified laboratory. It is specialized in infectious disease testing using molecular platforms and is currently preparing to offer blood and tissue based oncology testing via a hybrid capture based genomic platform based on the technology of NEO New Oncology GmbH, a recent acquisition of Siemens Healthineers.

The role is focused on further developing and shaping the offering of Molecular Services Americas.

This includes defining, developing and commercializing further test and IT offerings in collaboration with the sales, operational and research teams and leading the technical project management team to ensure successful execution. The product portfolio includes hybrid capture based genomic oncology and molecular viral infectious disease lab developed tests and the role is expected to collaborate with NEO New Oncology to adapt the current European IT offering to the US market. The role will be essential in shaping the ramp-up and success of Molecular Services in the Americas.

The role is based in Berkeley, California and reports into the Head of Molecular Services Americas in the Siemens Healthineers Strategy & Innovation unit.

Responsibilities

• Leads project definition, development and commercialization for Molecular Services Americas

• Responsibility to manage technical project management team for successful project execution

• Applies lean / agile methods to achieve fast offering iterations

• Acts as interface between sales, operations and research to drive a successful commercial offering with strong product-market-fit

• Member of the MSV Americas leadership team

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• > 15 years of product development or technical project management experience and > 10 years with team leadership responsibility, ideally with a focus on biotechnology, IT or lab developed tests

• "Can do" mindset, sense of ownership and willingness to pro-actively drive topics

• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders on all levels

• High ethical standards, personal and business integrity

• PHD or Master's degree in natural sciences, engineering or computer science

• Experience working in a multi-national corporation is a plus

• Ability to work with stakeholders in complex organizational structures is a plus
