*Description/Job Summary*

Currently, HGL has a position open for a Senior Project Manager.

*Responsibilities/Duties*

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and working on a variety of projects and meeting milestones for a wide range of remedial investigations; feasibility studies; designs and construction; operations; and site closure. Responsibilities include developing, budgeting, implementing, tracking and managing projects for one or more of following - Air Force, EPA, Army, and other government clients. Must be able to direct, manage, and lead project teams. Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, regulators, project team members, and company management. Will be responsible for cost estimate development and execution. Must be able to execute multiple projects and tasks concurrently. Technical support and/or supervision of a variety of in-house projects is required. Tasks may include calculations, overseeing the development and review of maps, drawings, and specifications, data collection, data entry and analysis, oversight of field operations, project management and cost estimation. May be called on to collect environmental field samples on occasion. Good physical health and the ability to lift 30 pounds are required for performance of field tasks. Periodic business travel is required. Scope of travel may vary with different positions. Positions may be contract specific or cover a variety of projects.

*Required Experience*

The Senior Project Manager position requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience which must include extensive experience managing environmental investigation, remediation, LTRA, Pre-Placed Remedial Action, and/or construction projects for the EPA, DOD, and/or DOE. Strong technical writing, organization, and oral communication skills required. The successful candidate will demonstrate a history of responsibility, initiative, motivation and creativity. Must also be willing to participate in project tasks ranging from field work to specification development to project management to data analysis and report preparation.

Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite required.

Note - Senior Project Managers are often hired for specialized fields of work or specific contracts. Experience is required in one or more of the following:

* Experience with Performance Based Contracts

* Experience with emerging contaminants

* Experience with treatment system operations and environmental sampling

* Experience with in-situ and ex-situ treatment

* Experience working with a specific department in the Federal Government.

*Preferred Experience*

Air Force and/or Army experience is a plus.

Current certification of OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training is a plus.

Specific emphasis on MS Word and MS Excel required with experience in MS Project, and MS PowerPoint a plus.

*Required Education*

The Senior Project Manager requires a minimum of a BS in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Geology or a related environmental field of study. Some positions may require a particular field of study. A PE or PG certification is a plus.

*Preferred Education*

A MS or PhD is a plus. PMP certification is desirable.

A pre-hire drug test is required and some positions may require a fit for duty baseline physical. Some positions will require U.S. Citizenship. Travel is required and will vary according to the particular position.
