We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Engineering Management to join the Department of Engineering Design and Mathematics at UWE Bristol. We are looking for an active and successful person who can work collaboratively across departments and lead the development of our problem-based learning curriculum. This post will focus on teaching and supporting students on BEng/MEng and other Masters level programmes in a range of engineering programmes including Mechanical, Automotive and Aerospace Engineering. The successful applicant will contribute to teaching in one or more of the following areas: operations management, project management, design thinking, strategic management, lean engineering, creativity, innovation and/or enterprise. There are opportunities to develop engineering management related research and to work with industry on knowledge exchange projects. Department of Engineering Design and Mathematics This is an exciting time for Department of Engineering Design and Mathematics (EDM). In Sept 2020, we will move into our new £45 million purpose built Engineering facility, which will enhance our ability to deliver an innovative and exciting problem-based learning curriculum and strengthen our stakeholder engagement activity regionally, nationally and internationally. UWE Bristol is also home to Bristol Robotics Laboratory, the leading and largest academic centre for multi-disciplinary robotics research in the UK. It is a collaborative partnership between the University of the West of England (UWE, Bristol) and the University of Bristol, and home to a vibrant community of over 200 academics, researchers and industry practitioners, which lead current thinking in service robotics, intelligent autonomous systems and bio-engineering.
