Advanced Technology Institute (ATI) - Research Technician (ATI Cleanroom)
An exciting opportunity to join a world-class research Institute.
You will provide high quality technical support in the Cleanroom and associated research laboratories in the Advanced Technology Institute (ATI). Specific responsibilities include maintaining and operating complex equipment and services used in the fabrication and testing of electronic and photonic devices; implementing, maintaining and monitoring health and safety regulations associated with semiconductor processing including experience with CoSHH requirements; user training and record keeping.
The post holder will also support a similar cleanroom at National Physical Laboratory (Teddington), typically spending one day per working week at the NPL site.
You will have good communication and IT skills. You will have an aptitude for technology. Previous experience with the following is advantageous: vacuum systems, organic semiconductors, gloveboxes, photolithography, metal deposition, electron-beam evaporation and PECVD/RIE and CoSHH assessments within a chemistry environment.
