The School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy & Politics at Queen's University Belfast is seeking to appoint a Temporary Lecturer in History from 1 March 2019

The successful candidate will have a track record of research and publications of the highest international standards and will enhance the research culture within the School. She/he will contribute to the development of the School's undergraduate, Masters, and PhD programmes particularly in public history.

We particularly welcome applications from applicants with research specialisms in any aspect of Modern European History. The successful applicant is also expected to play a leading role in delivering the MA in Public History and in the Centre for Public History.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate an ability to develop the undergraduate and MA curriculum in attractive and innovative fashion. Candidates may wish to indicate how their research and teaching will broaden or enhance our current areas of strength in history which include gender history, cultural and social history, the history of crime, oral history, historical commemorations, history and heritage, religious history, and race.
