An excellent opportunity for a Biomedical or Clinical Scientist with a strong laboratory background in immunoassay/molecular biology/microbiology who is looking to move into a field-based technical sales role. Full training is provided. The role is 80% field-based travelling to customer sites, with around one day per week working from home. PRODUCTS: Immunoassay and Molecular Diagnostics tests, instrumentation and automation. TERRITORY: Southern UK CUSTOMERS: NHS and private laboratories - contact levels include: pathology laboratory managers, procurements, clinicians, surgeons and infectious disease consultants Role responsibilities: ¢ To achieve agreed sales targets for relevant product groups. ¢ To follow the marketing strategies ¢ To promptly answer questions from customers relating to the products of the appropriate division. ¢ To provide customer training and technical support to customers on all relevant products through demonstrations and professionally conducted trials. ¢ To develop and maintain relationships with all customers and influencers within the allocated accounts by regular visits ¢ To organise, attend and report on all exhibitions and workshops as required. ¢ To actively seek and report changes in relevant markets that may affect the performance of the product group and to feedback and advise on company marketing strategy. ¢ To assist in the production of all quotations and tenders relating to the relevant product group Person Specification: Previous sales experience is preferable but not essential as full training is provided. Life Sciences degree and post-degree experience working in a clinical laboratory is essential (ideally 2+ years). You will need a strong laboratory background in immunoassay/molecular biology related to clinical microbiology In addition, the ideal candidate will be confident, adaptable, self-motivated, analytical, and able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, with excellent communication and presentation skills
