The Geospatial Strategy Leader will report to the Vice President/General Manager (VP/GM) and support the business unit leadership team (BU/BA & Functional Leaders) in the following primary areas:

1. Long-term strategy development, business area strategy correlation, reporting and communication development (e.g., PowerPoint);

2. Investment roadmaps and business case assessment of new business capture and technology development;

3. Portfolio management using strategic,and financial metrics as a guide

4. Cross-business area and cross business unit synergy opportunities;

5. Strategy and resourcing to support new business efforts

The Strategy Leader is accountable to the Geospatial Business Unit and Harris Corporation for the financial performance of the business unit; achievement of our strategic and business goals; and performance of our solutions for current and prospective customers.

**Role Responsibilities:**

+ Understand and drive strategic and portfolio priorities of the Geospatial Business Unit VP/GM

+ Develop and iteratively improve a cohesive, long-term Business Unit strategy that addresses market/customer needs, technology development, differentiated solutions, customer relationships, and organizational alignment. Business Unit strategy shall unify disparate technologies and programs as necessary to maintain Harris' lead in desired markets.

+ Establish and maintain a portfolio management approach to the Geospatial Business Areas and investments. Create a plan of action to achieve short-term Business Area goals, like specific opportunity capture, organizational adjustments, technology development, and capital plan execution.

+ Demonstrate high ethical standards and regard for the Harris Code of Conduct

+ Make informed, logical recommendations to the VP/GM and Business Area leaders, such as finance, engineering, and Business Area leads to maximize Business Unit performance.

+ Collaborate with the business leads to understand their needs; work to ensure their success.

+ Identify, recruit, and foster talented individuals and effective teams in support of the continued success of the business unit.

+ Cultivate strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders; work with segment-level leaders to obtain resources and support, and to ensure segment-level needs are met.

+ Communicate Business Area performance status and outlook to the members and Harris partners of the Geospatial business unit.

**Qualifications:**

+ Active TS/SCI security clearance

+ Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience; or equivalent

+ Familiarity with Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and International customers

**Preferred Additional Skills:**

+ Highly motivated, self starter who is willing to dive in to the details - collaboration and influence skills are a must

+ MBA and/or management consulting a strong desire

+ Strong business acumen, collaborative ability, and written communication skills

+ Ability to think abstractly and analytically to provide in-depth analysis and recommendations to internal customers, teammates, and external constituencies

+ Proven proficiency to prioritize tasks and organize a workload to ensure most important issues are addressed first

+ Competency making decisions with imperfect and incomplete information

+ High level of integrity

+ Practical use of applied statistics

+ Willingness to travel up to 50%

+ Can interpret, condense, and present findings to audiences with variable skill sets and experience levels
