The Faculty of St. Petersburg School of Economics and Management in the Saint-Petersburg campus of the Higher School of Economics, Russia, invites applications for full-time, tenure-track positions of Assistant Professor in management and related fields.

Requirements

The general requirements for the tenure track positions are the following:

• Candidates must hold a recent PhD in the field of management or relevant area (e.g., organization behavior, industrial-organizational psychology) , which was awarded over the last 5 years or received before starting work at HSE in a relevant field by an internationally recognized university and has been assessed by external reviewers as having the potential to pursue research that is publishable in leading peer-reviewed journals;
• Teaching experience at leading foreign universities is desirable;
• Knowledge of Russian is not required as research and teaching are both conducted in English. Therefore, fluent English is obligatory.

We are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in the following areas:

• Marketing: Customer Experience, Digital Marketing, Entertainment, Marketing Communication, Luxury Branding, New Product Development (NPD), Marketing Analytics and Customer Valuation, Services Marketing, Sustainability and Green Marketing.
• Strategy : Business strategy, International Business, Technology Management, Global Management
• Operations: Project Management, Lean Management, Industry 4.0, DataMining, Data Visualization, DigitalCommerce, Big Data Analytics.
• Entrepreneurship: Corporate Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management, Family Business Management.
• Human Resources: Digital HR, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Performance Management, Labor Laws, Industrial Relations, and Reward Management

Additional requirements

• Expertise and/or interest in teaching courses in our graduate programs in International Business in the Asia-Pacific Region, Arts and Culture Management, and Analytics for Business and Economics
• Expertise and interest in teaching courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Prior business industry experience (e.g., a corporate manager or business owner).
• Evidence of excellent teaching record.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience with online teaching and online course development.

The successful candidate is expected to conduct high-quality research publishable in reputable peer-reviewed journals with research support provided by the University.

Applicants with extensive teaching and/or industry experience will be given extra consideration. 

Conditions

Tenure track positions are only available on a full-time, residential basis.

Overall, appointments are usually made for an initial three-year period (starting September 2023) and, upon successful completion of an interim review, contracts are normally extended for a further three years until the tenure review.
