pI am working with a leading environmental and engineering consultancy, who are seeking to further expand its Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team by appointing an Associate Director within their Manchester office.
pThey are well respected on the work that they do within the infrastructure and environmental sectors and are at the forefront of supporting various clients across multiple sectors ranging from small single projects to extremely large multi-disciplined regeneration schemes.
pThis business will encourage you to drive the department forward whilst also supporting the wider teams on project sectors they are currently involved in; which will include large scale masterplans, mixed-use, leisure, retail, heritage-based redevelopment, infrastructure works, strategic land schemes, tall buildings and industrial & logistics facilities across the UK.
pThe role will require working on a number of projects, so the ability to manage your own time and workload within tight timescales, and an ability to solve problems creatively, is critical.

pDay to day involvement will varied and include:-

ul

  • pDay-to-day EIA project direction, primarily for large-scale urban development and infrastructure projects
  • pAttending meetings with clients, design teams, local authorities and statutory and non-statutory consultees
  • pLeading and growing the EIA team based in the Manchester or Birmingham office , including undertaking performance appraisals and managing finances
  • pActive member of the National EIA Senior Leadership Team
  • pManaging project budgets, for internal and external teams, including invoicing
  • pPreparation of fee proposals and tenders

    Skills and qualifications:

    Educated to at least degree level in a relevant discipline or subject.

  • pAble to show a demonstrable track record in managing and delivering proportionate EIA on complex sites in the UK,
  • pA member of a relevant professional body, such as IEMA
  • High levels of technical competency in your work
  • pPositive and proactive in your approach, with a keen eye for detail and the drive to be a success.
  • On offer is a salary of 65-70k+ plus a car allowance!
