Spectrum Health, Dept. of Oncology with the Adult Blood and Marrow Transplant Program, 18-bed unit, will begin offering CAR-T therapy to patients with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL). Spectrum Health implemented an adult blood and marrow transplant program in the fall of 2012. Nearly 700 transplants have been performed since the first transplant in late February 2013. In addition, the CAR T-cell Therapy program launched in 2018 and Spectrum Health now offers both commercially available products within the Adult BMT program.
As the program expands to increase transplant volumes and offer additional cellular therapy services, we are looking to hire a physician with experience in Transplant and CAR T-cell therapy to join our team of 3 physicians and 6 APPs. We are looking for an energetic/enthusiastic physician who is passionate and collaborative as a team player. Physicians work collaboratively with Advance Practice Providers, Pharmacists, Nurses, and other Allied Health staff.
Medical Degree (MD or DO) in Medicine
Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Completed
Board Certification in Hematology and/or Oncology and at least one year of BMT experience post-fellowship in both Allogeneic & autologous transplant
Experience with cellular immuotherapy preferred
Current M.D. or D.O. license for the state of Michigan.
Current State of Michigan and Federal Narcotics Licenses.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Specific to SHMG 120 Days
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Specific to SHMG: ACLS required if stress test is performed or as required by specialty. 120 Days
